Ava DuVernay's skillfully captures a rare, intimate and vulnerable glimpse into the life of the towering figure known Martin Luther King, rousingly portrayed by David Oyelowo. Bravo! (A)

It's interesting you bring that up because on a sub-conscience level, I was making subtle comparisons. "X" defined a generation which resulted in surge of interest in Malcolm. One only needs to hop in the proverbial time machine to come across the slew of T-shirts, hats, and medallions that were sold when the movie was released. I have to get back to you on that. Maybe a write by you OM on the topic...hmmmm
