Synopsis: Based on a true story, ex-felon, Eugene Brown, establishes an after school chess club for inner city teenagers in Washington D.C.
Review: I applaud any attempt to tell the story of unsung heroes, especially with the purpose of dispelling stereotypes. Unfortunately, Life of a King's good intentions are hampered by its' two dimensional characters and manufactured, emotional cues. (C-)
